Different kind of day today…It has felt like a Saturday to me all day…No school Work got done…Not much cleaning except for one load of dishes…No lunch or dinner to cook…Just kinda of lying around lazy day…I am not feeling physically well either…My left shoulder and neck are not behaving today… Quite honestly, I am in not in the best of happy moods either…I am just feeling very temperamental and agitated…Not quiet sure why??? But I just am…One of those days, I suppose…My weekly routine was different today…Maybe that had something to do with it…The weather was odd too…Chilly evening last night…I could not get warm for nothing…One minute the snow was coming down really heavy…The next minute the snow is melting and the sun is shining…Hmmm,…How in the world can I control how I feel??? When the weather cannot decide what it wants to do…Just some food for thought…Oh Well…It is what it is…Thank You God for the sunshine we did have today…

My family and I did get to have a very nice birthday lunch with my parents and my baby brother…Happy Birthday to my baby brother…Although, he really isn’t a baby any more…He is just 2 years younger than I am…But at least I can say, “I was FIRST here on earth…For arguments sake when we decide to have our sibling rivalry arguments…Normal of course for brother and sister to argue sometimes…I keep telling myself that when my kids don’t always get along…Ne-ways…Thank You to my dad and mom for picking up the tab…Thank You to my parents and brother for enjoying a lunch together…We went to Steak-N-Shake for the afternoon…It was a close restaurant to my brother’s place of work…He is a BIG real estate agent now…It helps too, that my kids love the place too…They know exactly what they want the minute we arrive…We do not have to play the guessing game of food orders…We even got an applause in the restaurant when we sang Happy Birthday to my brother…We got to enjoy some cupcakes and have some wonderful conversation…Huge Thank You goes out to my awesome children…They behaved beautifully…They appeared as if they were PERFECT children there…My brother and I have not always been nice to each other…But we have always loved each other…And been there as quick as a phone call away to help when one of us needed the other…Thank You God for my brother and the time we have had together…

My husband and I did score on some free paint today…Not sure about the colors yet…We plan on looking at them when it is a little warmer outside…As we were driving to go eat today…We pass a yard with paint cans out front…I pointed it out to my husband…We planned on stopping after eating…We did…As were were pulling into the driveway to ask the owner how much the paint was…The owner was outside getting his mail…We asked him if the paint was for sale and how much…He said, “free”…He told us he just got a divorce and his house was going into foreclosure…He said, he was just trying to clean out his house and thought maybe somebody could use the paint for something…Lord, please bless that man and show him your love and mercy…I pray that goodness comes his way and he can see your beautiful light in spite of his current troubles…

Well, we did and we were able to take all of it…We are trying to get several rooms in our home painted…Beside the fact that our kids scribbled all over the house and dented almost every corner…We were just wanting to warm up our plain eggshell colored house with some color…We were told there was some red, green, yellow and brown colors in the paint…Maybe if we mix some or just mix in some white…We could have some pretty awesome free paint colors…I will let you my readers know if we are able to use them…Maybe, I will post some pictures later…After we got home and my husband unloaded the paint from our van…I got thinking…That is such a sad state of affairs to be going through…To lose a wife and a home in a short time…It makes me feel that much more blessed to have what I have even if it isn’t financially a lot…It also makes me appreciative of the fact that I still have a home…The world has become so hard for so many who have lost jobs, homes and families…Lord, Please bring blessings to all who need your love and support right now…Please Lord, bring to all those who are without your power and strength…Thank You God for my hubby, family and home…Thank You God for the paint score we found today…It really and truly is the simplest things in life that can make the world of difference…A can of paint can change the outlook of a home…

Then we scored a large cooler for $5.00…My husband remembered an ad he found online for a moving sale right up the street from our house…We stopped by there…Would you believe, I didn’t even have $5.00 cash on me…Well, we drove home and got the cash…My daughter and I went back for the cooler…We looked around a bit at the moving sell…Women can get so much more out of shopping without any one else around sometimes…We could take all the time we needed…We actually found 2 scrap-booking shape cutters for 50 cents a piece…Great score there too…My daughter’s latest endeavor is scrap-booking…My youngest son find a big plastic baggie of note paper for 50 cents…He is on a flip-book making obsession now…I got me two pairs of ladies sweats for 25 cents each…Yeah, for me…My hubby can have his sweatpants back now…He will be so happy…He has pants to were now…Come back to me away from your imagination ..No, he has not been naked…He just has been very cold in his shorts this winter…No, just kidding again…He has one pair left…We just wash them every day…Okay, I will be serious now…I am just happy to wear something that actually fits me this winter…

My daughter and I got talking to the couple at the moving sale…They were telling us they were moving to Florida…I got talking about my kids and their hobbies…The sale had a lot of hobby and craft stuff…My oldest son is into woodwork and whittling…My youngest is into painting and coloring and whatever new obsession for the week…My daughter crafty as can be… Jewelry, Singing, Scrap-booking…The owner of the house, thought it was awesome that all my kids had hobbies…We paid and begin to leave the house…The lady offered to open the door for me because my hands were full with the cooler…She noticed we had taken off our shoes in the doorway…She told us thank you for taking the time to take our shoes off…We chose to do it because our shoes were muddy because the ground has been wet lately…She looked around her house and noticed no one else had removed their shoes in her house…Her entire house was open for a moving sale but also it was an open house to sell their home…The carpet was mainly white and I did not want to be the one or one of my kids to leave a giant muddy footprint…Common Sense to us…Anyways, it again reminds me that the simplest of things can mean so much…It does not have to be expensive or a grand gesture to bless someone…It just need to be honest and worthy of our Lord, Jesus Christ…I would never walk into God’s white perfect house covered in mud…So why not do the same for someone here on earth…Thank You God for the opportunity to show your love to someone else today…Although, I did not speak about  you…I had the chance to show my calm and quiet spirit and I did just that…

Well, after writing down what I did today…My day does not seem so boring…Maybe this writing thing may have its perks…When I can sit down, write and think about my day…It appears so much different from when I look at it as just another day…It was a chance to show God’s love…It was an opportunity to bring happiness or joy into someone’s life…I was given another day to live and share it with my family…Thank You God for all this and revealing it to me…

Your Love God, never seems to quit…As you promised, you continue to cover and protect us through all our days…

Roman 12:1 NIV says, Therefore, I urge you brother, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God-this is your spiritual act of worship.
