Sad news…I didn’t make it to church this morning…Way too tired and I woke up sneezing, sniffling and exhausted…2 late nights in a row, left me physically drained…Frustrated with myself…My daughter tells me she is not made at me though…Thankfully, I have very forgiving and loving children…Thank you God for the sweet spirit in my children…
Helped my daughter get majority of her room cleaned up yet again…She seems to like to remodel by moving furniture around and changing her collections that are on her dressers…Hubby got up early today and started the housework…He also got the foyer table out of the garage and set it up in our daughter’s bedroom…She now has a music corner…Her tv, amp, microphone, cd collection and karaoke machine are all in one corner sitting on the foyer table…Just some ends to tie up and odds to organize in her room…Still on the hunt for a cheap lamp for her bedroom…The foyer table sits at the perfect level of her day bed…Therefore she has an end table now too…She also has a reading nook in her bedroom…Her bookshelf and beanbag are in the opposite corner of her music area…She seems to be happy with it right now…Her friend came over to visit for a bit and thought her new room design looked cool…I left my daughter to her own device and told her to clean up the mess she created during her own room design…It was hard for me to step back and make her clean up her own mess…But I eventually was able to let go and walk away…Guess what, about an hour later…She cleaned it up and I could walk back through her room again…Thank You God for helping to give me strength to teach my daughter to be responsible for things in her life…
Began to start cleaning up the playroom and organizing it…But hubby decided it was time to start patching holes and dents in the walls…He moved everything in the middle of the room…It is impossible for me to make headway now…He is going to primer two of the walls this evening…We may just get that room painted sooner than I realize…We have a lot of yellow paint left over from our kitchen…That is what we plan on painting the kids’ playroom with a wall dedicated to chalkboard paint…Thank You God for my hubby working so hard on fixing our house up…
Daughter is getting a conditioning treatment tonight…Her hair and skin has been so dry and itchy lately…She has actually scratched a piece of skin off her scalp from her scratching so much…It is not lice…Believe me, I am paranoid about that…She had it a few years back when she was in public school…It was not fun going through her long hair with a fine tooth comb…She has just developed a bad case of dandruff…I think it has a lot to do with her not rinsing her hair out completely…So tonight…I treated her to a olive oil and deep conditioning treatment…I set her up on several pillows on a chair and leaned her head back over the kitchen sink as I massaged her hair…I am letting it sit in her hair and scalp for about an hour…Than rinsing really well…Hopefully, this will help with her itchy head…Then a shower and cover her in Baby Oil Gel…Maybe a Benadryl for a few days too…Winter weather is harsh here in Indiana…Electric Heat is also very drying to the skin too…Poor baby…I feel sorry for her…I battle dry skin and scalp all the time too…Thank You God for the time to care for my daughter…
I really haven’t done a lot today…I spent most the day in bed…Trying to not get sick…I feel it coming on…Today was absolutely gorgeous…66 degrees outside with a light breeze…The boys did get to run and jump around outside on the trampoline…I seem to get sick every time the weather changes dramatically so quickly…Hubby, took care of kiddos and house so I could rest and try to get feeling better…I hope I feel better tomorrow…Busy week coming up…I think we have appointments every day this week…
More cleaning, schoolwork, painting, organizing for our week too…I am working on a new chore system too…I plan on making key chains with specific chores…They will be numbered 1,2 and 3…I will switch them every day for the kids…I know my readers…I seem to make a new chart or rules about every two weeks…But I am learning constantly what works and doesn’t work with our family…We seem to change all the time too…As the kids mature, I seem to find what works and I just adapt our daily routine…I constantly try to make our house run more efficiently with every new chart or list…I believe, one day we will find that “perfect” plan but until then, I will keep working towards one…I will post pictures once, I have designed and made them…That is one of my goals this week…I also plan on working on my new book…I think, I may have set upon an idea and I am happy with it…
